How to Write When You Think It’s Pointless

Here we are again. At that beautiful crossroads. When we are thinking this:

“No one wants to read my words. They are stupid and I should just quit. I am not making any money off of this. Why should I keep going? This is a fools errand. Why do I write anything at all. I’m not interesting enough I’m too weird. I don’t write articles that are good.”

This is what I am thinking right now. I am challenging myself to still show up even though it feels pointless. Here are some reasons to keep writing:

  1. There is so much content out there it is not personal the internet is just a vacuum of voices.

This answer honestly made me want to write less. What’s the point if it’s a vacuum of voices. Mine is going to get lost, why should I keep shouting into the void?

2. It is good for your mental health.

That’s true studies have shown that writing helps rewire synapses in your brain and stuff. I’ve read that in one of my books. I’m going to school for psychology so it’s true. Writing is super good for your mentals.

3. Write out of spite

There it is. You are a voice in the vacuous void. Write because the void is laughing at you. The void wants to win. Write and scream back at the void and tell it you will continue…
